Reconstruction

The process of reconstruction is a fundamental archaeological goal toward developing explanations for explaining past behavior. Reconstruction can also be one of the most successful ways that scientists can telegraph their important results. Throughout his career Christopher (Chris) Fisher has sought innovative mechanisms toward more accurate and impactful reconstructions. Based on original field research including excavation, documentation, 3D scanning, and photographs. Fisher’s reconstructions are done both digitally using 3D modeling software and rendering engines, and in more traditional mediums, such as oil on board or canvas. Many of his reconstructions have been published in scientific articles, magazines, and other venues.
